First Ever Women’s WPSL Player, Kenzie Roling!

The Iowa Raptors FC are excited to announce current University of Iowa Women‘s Soccer player Kenzie Roling as our first official player for our 2022 WPSL team!

In Kenzie’s first collegiate season at The University of Iowa, she was named Big Ten Freshman of the week in her first week of competing. In her first season, she started 11 out of the 18 games and logging 1,055 minutes. In her 11 starts, Kenzie tallied 6 goals, 2 of them being game-winning goals against Saint Louis and Minnesota. In Iowa’s matchup against Purdue Fort Wayne, Roling tallied 2 goals, her highest in a collegiate game thus far.

In high school, Kenzie earned many accolades before heading to play collegiately. In her 2021 season alone, Kenzie was named Iowa Miss Soccer, Gatorade Player of the Year, All-Tournament Team Captain, and was named a Winter-Spring All American. She led Waverly Shell-Rock to it’s first-ever state championship in soccer scoring 17 postseason goals, including 4 in the Championship game. Additionally, she broke her school’s goal record for the season (76) and career (147) goals while breaking the state’s single-season point record (169 points) in just three seasons due to COVID19. In her previous years, she earned all-state, all-conference, all academic state, and all-tournament team awards after being in two state finals matches.

Kenzie also had many outstanding moments while playing youth club soccer, including being the captain of a 5-time state championship team that made many appearances at regional and national tournaments. Kenzie’s ability earned her the opportunity being a two-time member of the Mid-West Regional ODP team.
