The Iowa Raptors are hosting a Thanksgiving Tournament at the Alliant Energy Power House November 26th through November 27th. Pool play will start at 8:00am Saturday morning and playoffs/finals will conclude Sunday evening. There are 12 spots available for the Open Men’s division, and 8 spots available for the high school and youth divisions. We strongly suggest a team size of 10-15 depending on each division. Additionally, there will be a $1,000 cash prize awarded to the winner of the Open Men’s division.

The deadline to register your team is November 20th. Please register as soon as possible so the Powerhouse arena can fully accommodate all participants.

Divisions:

• Open Men's Division - 12 Spots, 15 players per team max - $1,000 cash prize

• Boys High School - 8 spots, 15 players per team max

• Girls High School - 8 spots, 15 players per team max

• Boys U14 - 8 spots, 12 players per team max

• Boys U12 - 8 spots, 12 players per team max

• Girls U14 - 8 spots, 12 players per team max

• Girls U12 - 8 spots, 12 players per team max

The price of registration is $500.00 with a $12.50 service fee. Each ticket includes referee payment and each participant will receive a free ticket to the Iowa Raptors Exhibition game on November 26th, 6:30PM. Equipment: Flats and shin guards are required; games will be played on a flat turf surface. For uniforms, please try to bring varying dark/white uniforms; if needed, we will provide colored pennies to either team.

Thanksgiving Tournament Rules:

5v5 plus a goalie - Open Men’s and High School divisions

• Games will be 30 minute running clock with 3 guaranteed group games and 1 guaranteed playoff game.

• Only kick-ins will be allowed for out of bounds plays.

• There will be no yellow line rule.

• Hard/aggressive fouls, boarding, too many men-Blue Card Fouls results in your team being down 1 man for 2 minutes.

• Only kick-ins will be allowed for out of bounds plays.

• There will be no yellow line rule.

• Subs are on the fly but should not interfere with gameplay or provide an advantage to either team.

• Players setting up a wall in front of a free kick are required to stand three yards away.

• Fouls in the penalty box are taken as direct kicks on top of the box.

• Sportsmanship is paramount in this tournament.

4v4 plus a goalie - U14 and U12 divisions

• Games will be 30 minute running clock with 3 guaranteed group games and 1 guaranteed playoff game.

• Only kick-ins will be allowed for out of bounds plays.

• Subs will happen during kick-ins.

• Players setting up a wall in front of a free kick are required to stand three yards away.

• Fouls in the penalty box are taken as direct kicks on top of the box.
