Exciting news, Raptor fans, the Lady Raptors will be joining the Major Arena Soccer League Women (MASLW) this season!

The Iowa Raptors FC have joined forces with the MASLW to bring exciting women's indoor soccer back to the Power House. The MASWL enters its second full season with 24 teams in cities across North America, stretching from Monterrey, Mexico to Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.

“The Raptors were in the MASL 2 finals not that long ago, so they know what it takes to put a championship team together,” league commissioner Chris Economides said in a statement on Monday. “And with stiff competition from all three teams in their division, it could be a real race to the wire to see who takes the Midwest Division crown. Fans in Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Omaha and Kansas City are in for intense and exciting action every weekend during the regular season.”

The Lady Raptors will be playing doubleheaders with the men's team starting December 6, 2025; the full Midwest Division schedule can be viewed here. "With the ever-growing popularity of women's sports, we know our fans will be energized by this next big step from the Raptors organization," said Raptors' Managing Partner Bobby Hurwitz.

The next step for your Lady Raptors is to hold a series of three tryouts, beginning November 10.

The team invites all interested local players to register on the team website. "We know there's a tremendous amount of talent in Eastern Iowa," Hurwitz said. "We expect to be competitive right away, so we need to hit the ground running."

All Raptors games this season will be double-ticketed events, meaning that one ticket buys admission to both the Men's and Women's game. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or online. Come support both squads, and #RunWithTheRaptors!
