Former MLS and US National Team player, Tyler Turner signs as Midwest Premier League Head Coach

The Iowa Raptors FC is extremely happy to announce a record signing in the organization’s short history. Tyler Turner, a former MLS player will be our new Head Coach for our Midwest Premier League men’s team!


Tyler is a current player for the Milwaukee Wave in Major Soccer Arena League. His MASL career started in 2018 with the Orlando SeaWolves. Tyler’s most noticeable soccer career moments came before his debut in arena soccer. In 2014, Turner signed an MLS contract with Orlando City SC in 2014 and, at the time, became the youngest-ever signing in franchise history. He made seven total MLS appearances with Orlando City and at the end of the 2014 season Tyler was selected as the club's Rookie of the Year. In July 2015, Turner was selected as a member of the MLS Homegrown Team by former USMNT and LA Galaxy player Landon Donovan who served as coach of the Homegrown team.


Tyler also represented USA in many of the youth ages. Turner starred playing for the U-17s, captaining the U-18s and also featuring for the U-20 National team. Turner’s most noticeable participation with the USA National team is when he played for the United States Men’s National under-23 team at the 2015 Toulon Tournament in France.
