Attention Jurassic Fanatics! Your Raptors are thrilled to announce the debut of our Women's team! New for the 2023 season, they'll be competing in the Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL) women's division. "It's an exciting opportunity," said Raptors' Club Secretary Bobby Hurwitz, who made the announcement yesterday at a press conference at the Alliant Energy Power House. "We're thrilled to bring yet another opportunity for Eastern Iowa fans to see and participate in high-level soccer."

Also speaking at the conference were the new head coach, Zach Serovy, and the first two players signed, Madisyn Hunt and Reegan Hess.
Serovy, a former goaltender, played for Iowa City West High School and was a member of three state championship teams with the Trojans. He started his college playing career at North Central College, transferring after two seasons to Coe College. He was the Kohawks' team captain his senior year. At the conclusion of his playing career, he returned to Central College as a graduate assistant coach and goalkeeper coach while obtaining his Master's Degree in Sports Leadership. He has also served as an assistant coach with the Kohawks, and with the Bonnies of St. Bonaventure University in upstate New York.

She has also played on the Raptors' Senior Women's Outdoor squad.
Reegan Hess is currently a senior at Prairie High School. A recipient of many regional honors, Hess has committed to play soccer at Quincy University in Quincy, IL.
The Women's Team will be playing four home dates at the Alliant Energy Power House, with opening night on Friday, February 3. Tryouts will be held starting next week, and all women age 16 and up are eligible to participate. "We're committed to building the best team possible," Serovy said, "and if you think you've got what it takes, we'll see you there."
